“Great pizza near Coor's field”
- Reviewed July 12, 2013 NEW

"We actually had dinner at Marco's on a night that there wasn't a baseball game, so it wasn't too crazy. The pizza was delicious! It was my son's 5th birthday, so they treated him to Nutella pizza dessert which was AMAZING!! Great service and overall great meal!"

“Delicious and quick”

"We stopped in here on a Friday night and were seated immediately. The place is clean, bright, and vibrant, and our server was very friendly. The pizza was delicious (perhaps some of the best crust I've ever had - as a Chicagoan, that's saying something!). Would recommend!"

“A Piece of Italy in Downtown Denver”
- Reviewed June 22, 2013

"Bucket List. Must do. Can't Miss. I'm Italian and from NY so I KNOW pizza! This pizza is WAY beyond a word description. Magnificent doesn't do it justice. Absolute pales next to it. We started off with the limoncello chicken wings. Marinaded for two days, covered with spices, then thrown into the coal-fired oven - are you kidding? I felt like I was "Woman vs. Food". Woman won, by the way. I could have eaten a dozen by myself. I got the basic pizza, which is what I do my first time at any pizza place. They should have charged extra for ecstasy it brought to my taste buds! They also have an impressive wine/beer list. Our waiter, who hails from Philly, was a pure delight. I wanted to adopt him. Can't wait until I can find someone to take there again! The BEST!!!!"

“The Toscana pizza might be the best $17 you'll ever spend on food...”
Reviewed May 25, 2013

For me, the best thing about Trip Advisor is its ability to help tourists find true gems in food and lodging that we'd otherwise overlook when we travel. Being intrigued by the glowing reviews of Marco's Pizzeria (and tiring of the mediocre but expensive restaurants around the convention center) we made a pilgrimage on May 9. This is not a place we would have found on our own, being in a row of bars beside the baseball stadium and next to a pawn shop. We will never visit Denver again without returning. The decor, while not fancy, is remarkably well detailed and more impressive the more you study it. The wine list, while not extensive, looks carefully thought out and very fairly priced. The pizzas and salads, while not expensive, are simply world class. About 2 bites into her second slice of the Toscana pizza, my wife announced that she thought this was the best pizza she'd ever had. The quality of ingredients and attention to detail was clearly obvious. The staff could not have been nicer; my wife concluded our visit with a kitchen tour where the pizza bakers clearly enjoyed showing her how dedicated they are to making everything they do be just right.

Until May 9th, our "best pizza" was in a little pizzeria in the town of Greve in the Chianti region of Tuscany. Denver is a much easier trip; we will return to Marco's Coal Fired Pizzeria. Highly recommended!
